National Atmospheric Research Laboratory

National Atmospheric Research Laboratory is a Department of Space research campus at Gadanki near Tirupati, studying the atmosphere and near-Earth space with radar, lidar, optical, balloon, and modeling systems. NARL accepts advance-arranged scientific and technical visits from recognized schools, colleges, and universities, giving student groups access to a working research environment rather than a conventional museum. Visits are limited to Fridays, groups may include up to 50 students, institutions must apply two to three months ahead through their principal or dean, and entry is subject to identification, security, and electronic-device restrictions. Priority is given to relevant postgraduate, engineering, science, and school groups.
