National Museum of World War II Aviation

The National Museum of World War II Aviation in Colorado Springs tells the story of wartime aviation through a 21-acre campus at Colorado Springs Airport, modern display hangars, restoration workshops, archives and more than 4,000 artifacts and historical documents. Its public collection includes 28 fully restored flying aircraft, ongoing restoration projects and operational wartime vehicles, while docent-led tours connect the aircraft, technology and people of the Allied war effort. Visitors may self-guide the display galleries; access to the WestPac restoration facility is supervised by museum hosts or docents, and wheelchairs and walkers are available on request.
