National WASP WWII Museum at historic Avenger Field in Sweetwater preserves the history of the Women Airforce Service Pilots who trained there during World War II. Its visitor experience combines authentic WWII training aircraft, including the AT-6, BT-13 and Cessna UC-78 “Bamboo Bomber,” with artifacts, archival collections, personal stories and educational programs that connect WASP training, service and legacy to the original field. The operator publishes Tuesday–Saturday 10:00–17:00 access, Sunday/Monday closure and group tours by request; current exhibits and special closures remain operator-controlled.
