Newark Air Museum

Newark Air Museum is an independent aviation museum and registered charity on part of the former Second World War RAF Winthorpe airfield in Nottinghamshire. Its collection spans more than 90 aircraft and cockpit sections, aero engines, aviation artefacts and avionic displays across four undercover display areas and 16 acres of outdoor grounds, with archives and library access by arrangement, an education room and volunteer restoration projects. The operator currently lists daily hours of 10:00–17:00 from March through October and 10:00–16:00 from November through February, with last museum entry at 16:00 and 15:00 respectively; it is closed December 24–26 and January 1. Weather alerts and special events can affect opening and parking, so check before travel. Admission currently listed is £12.50 for adults 16+, £11.50 for over-65s, £6.50 for children 5–15, and £35 for a family of two adults and three children; Gift Aid rates are shown separately and pre-booking is not required. Free on-site car and coach parking is available, including designated disabled spaces. Museum buildings and main routes are wheelchair accessible with ramps and level access; accessible toilets and seating are provided, while grassy areas can be uneven and larger aircraft interiors may not be wheelchair accessible.
