Norwegian Armed Forces Aircraft Collection

The Norwegian Armed Forces Aircraft Collection at Gardermoen preserves the history of the Royal Norwegian Air Force in a national military-aircraft collection beside Oslo Airport. Nearly 40 aircraft span pioneering Norwegian aviation, Second World War fighters, transports and bombers, and Cold War jets; the collection also includes engines, uniforms, technical equipment, Norway’s first aircraft, Start (1912), and an F-16 simulator. The operator’s English visitor page currently lists Saturday 12:00–16:00 and Sunday 11:00–16:00, with daily 12:00–16:00 hours in July; its Norwegian page lists Sunday 12:00–16:00 instead, so confirm the live schedule before travel. Admission is NOK 130 for adults, NOK 65 for seniors/students and children aged 6–18, and NOK 325 for a family ticket. Free parking is available at Museumsvegen 35, Gardermoen; from Oslo Airport, buses 400/420 stop at Lilleplassen for a five-minute walk, and shuttle bus S55 stops about 100 metres away at Park Inn by Radisson Oslo Airport Hotel West. Simulator and guided-tour availability follows the operator’s current booking guidance.
