Oakland Aviation Museum in the original Boeing School of Aeronautics hangar at Oakland International Airport preserves and interprets North Field and Bay Area aviation history through aircraft, aviation artifacts, indoor and outdoor exhibits, restoration work areas, an education room, History Flicks room, research library, and themed exhibits on women, Black Americans, the Eighth Air Force, James Doolittle, and historic airlines. The museum is open Wednesday–Sunday 10:00–16:00; admission is $18 adults, $15 seniors, $13 military and students, $10 children 5–12, and free under 5, at 8252 Earhart Road, Oakland, California 94621.
