O.R. Tambo International Airport is a principal international gateway for South Africa, serving the Johannesburg and Gauteng region. The airport connects domestic, regional and intercontinental air transport and is one of the three international gateways owned and operated by Airports Company South Africa. Formerly known as Johannesburg International Airport, it is a useful facility for studying the role of a major connecting airport in a national air transport network. The map point uses the airport's published P1 parking coordinates.
