Oukaïmeden Observatory

Oukaïmeden Observatory is the high-altitude astronomical research and outreach site of Université Cadi Ayyad in the Moroccan High Atlas, about 50 km south of Marrakech at roughly 2,750 m. The university says its station supports exoplanet, transient, asteroid, meteor and other Solar System research through projects including TRAPPIST-North, MOSS and OWL-Net, alongside student training and supervised public and scientific visits. University-linked 2026 programmes include an organized visit during ICAY, confirming that access is arranged through the university rather than unrestricted walk-in entry. Contact OUCA at ouca@uca.ac.ma and confirm the current programme, accessibility, mountain weather and road conditions before travelling.
