Palm Springs Air Museum

Palm Springs Air Museum is a nonprofit living-history museum dedicated to preserving, exhibiting and flying aircraft from World War II, Korea, Vietnam and the Global War on Terror. One of the world’s largest static and flyable collections spans more than 80 aircraft in five air-conditioned hangars totaling 91,000 square feet, with no-rope interaction, veteran interpretation, restoration activity, a research library, flight simulators and documentary theatre. Pacific, European, B-17, Korea/Vietnam and F-117A/War on Terror galleries connect aircraft and artifacts to U.S. military history; warbird rides, programs and aircraft availability vary by current schedule, weather and operations. The museum incorporated in 1994 and opened to the public on November 11, 1996. It is open daily 10:00–17:00 and closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and February 6 for the gala. Admission is $25 for adults, $23 for seniors, veterans or retired military and teenagers ages 13–17; children 12 and under are free with paid adult admission, and active-duty military and immediate family are free. Free parking is available. All hangars are ADA accessible for wheelchairs, walkers and scooters, with a few free loan wheelchairs; friendly pets on leashes are welcome.
