Parkes Observatory Visitors Centre is CSIRO's public gateway to Murriyang, the 64-metre Parkes radio telescope. Free exhibits, a ticketed 3D theatre, playground, picnic area and group programmes explain Australian radio astronomy, pulsars and fast radio bursts, and Murriyang's support for space missions including the Apollo 11 Moon landing; the centre is currently open daily 08:30-16:15 with NSW school-holiday extensions, while the café is closed.
