Peterson Air & Space Museum

Peterson Air & Space Museum, Colorado’s oldest aviation museum, started in 1982 as the NORAD Visitor Center and now preserves the aviation and space history of Colorado Springs and Peterson Space Force Base within the historic district’s original passenger terminal, City Hangar and Broadmoor Hangar. The museum is currently closed for construction; its visitor page says it tentatively plans to reopen 9 September, with planned public hours Wednesday–Friday 10:00–15:00 and closure Saturday–Tuesday and federal holidays. It is on an active military installation: visitors without DoD ID must request a museum visitor pass before 13:00 Mountain Time three full business days before the intended visit, and the Peterson Space Force Base visitor page says all visitors must obtain a base pass while Trusted Traveler and escort access are suspended. Contact the museum at 719-556-5543 or staff@petemuseum.org for pass requests and reopening updates. Confirm reopening, pass processing, gate and accessibility arrangements before travel. Visitor address: 150 E. Ent Avenue, Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80914-1303, United States.
