Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute

Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute (PARI) is a working 200-acre observatory and space-communications campus in the Pisgah National Forest at 1 PARI Drive, Rosman, North Carolina. Its NASA-built radio telescopes and other instruments support radio astronomy, spacecraft tracking and satellite communications; the campus also includes an operations center, NASA heritage gallery and visitor facilities. PARI offers self-guided and reserved guided tours that can include the operations center and selected outdoor areas, but its controlled entrance and current guidance warn that public access may be limited during research, maintenance or spacecraft communication/tracking work.
