Planetario de San José

Planetario de San José is the University of Costa Rica's public astronomy and science education center in the Ciudad de la Investigación. Its dome recreates the night sky and presents astronomy and space-science documentaries for schools, families, and general audiences. A current university schedule offers public shows from Tuesday through Saturday, with tickets sold in advance or at the venue, plus free telescope observing from Wednesday through Saturday when weather permits. The center also develops educational materials and hosts public programmes such as Astrofest.
