Planetario Nacional Mutsumi Ishitsuka

Planetario Nacional Mutsumi Ishitsuka is the Instituto Geofísico del Perú's national public planetarium in Lima. Opened in 2008 through Peruvian–Japanese cooperation, its 7.5-metre dome recreates clear skies from different places and seasons for guided interpretation of the Moon, planets, constellations, galaxies, and the apparent motion of celestial objects. Current programming combines introductory talks, 45-minute immersive presentations, astronomy and space-science films, and photographs with educational models. The official 2026 visitor programme publishes four sessions on public Fridays and selected Sundays, alongside separately coordinated school, university, institutional, and group visits.
