RAAF Wagga Aviation Heritage Centre

RAAF Wagga Aviation Heritage Centre, formerly the RAAF Museum–Wagga Annex, is managed by RAAF Reservists with Wagga Wagga community volunteers at the entrance to the last remaining Riverina Second World War base. It preserves regional photographs, documents and memorabilia covering Air Force service and training from the 1920s onward, including the Riverina network of wartime bases. Aircraft include a Mirage, Korean War Meteor, Vietnam War Canberra, Macchi trainer and F-111C, representing more than 70 years of RAAF flying history. The Memorial Gardens include an Empire Air Training Scheme mural and a replica of the 1943 No. 31 Squadron WWII chapel from Coomalie Creek, Darwin. Entry is free. The Air Force page lists general hours of 10:00–16:00 Saturday–Thursday, with Friday closed except by appointment; its published 2026 schedule is time-bounded and opening patterns can change, so confirm before travel.
