RAF Museum Midlands

RAF Museum Midlands at Cosford is a public aviation-heritage museum presenting the Royal Air Force story through the National Cold War Exhibition, War in the Air and Test Flight galleries. Its collection includes the world’s oldest Supermarine Spitfire Mk I, Battle of Britain aircraft such as the Hurricane, Defiant, Gladiator and Bf 109, post-war experimental aircraft including the Kestrel, FD2, Eurofighter EAP and TSR-2, aero engines, missiles, tanks, rocket motors and German rocketry. The museum currently offers free admission and recommends booking a free entry ticket in advance. It is open daily from 10:00–17:00 March–October and 10:00–16:00 November–February; paid parking applies, with the current visitor plan listing £7.50 per vehicle for up to seven hours. Cosford station is about a 10-minute walk away. The site has step-free access, wide hangar aisles, lifts, seating, a Changing Places toilet and a limited number of free loan wheelchairs and mobility scooters; children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult, and only assistance dogs are allowed inside buildings.
