RFDS Darwin Tourist Facility

The RFDS Darwin Tourist Facility at Stokes Hill Wharf is the Royal Flying Doctor Service's public visitor experience in Darwin, pairing the history of aeromedical flight with the 1942 Bombing of Darwin. Visitors can tour or self-guide through interactive storyboards, touchscreen portals, a Traeger pedal radio, holograms and virtual reality, then board the decommissioned RFDS Pilatus PC-12 'PAPA' to see the medical aircraft from cockpit to cargo hold. The official facility publishes ticketed daily access, seasonal April–September hours of 09:00–17:00 and October–March hours of 09:00–16:00, with public-holiday hours and Good Friday/Christmas closures; it is operated by RFDS in partnership with Northern Territory Tourism.
