Royal Observatory Greenwich

Royal Observatory Greenwich is Royal Museums Greenwich’s historic visitor observatory, founded in 1675 and home to the Prime Meridian, Flamsteed House, the Airy Transit Circle, historic astronomical instruments, and views across London. The ticketed site is open daily except 24–26 December; 2026 summer hours are 10:00–19:00 in July–August with last entry at 18:00, and 10:00–18:00 in September with last entry at 17:00; standard hours are 10:00–17:00 with last entry at 16:15. Royal Observatory Treasures Tours run daily at 11:00 and 15:00, and Lunar Tours at 13:30 from 1 July 2026. Advance online booking is recommended; a current lift outage means some Flamsteed House areas have no step-free access.
