Santiago Ground Station
SSC Space’s Santiago Ground Station is an operational commercial satellite ground station north of Santiago in Chile’s Metropolitan Region. SSC says it was first established to support the Apollo missions and now operates multiple telemetry, tracking and command antennas with S-band uplink and downlink, plus a 13.5 m antenna supporting lunar services in both S- and X-band. The site includes operations, receiving, processing, recording and monitoring systems, and offers LEOP, on-orbit, lunar, optical and hosting services. It has UPS and diesel backup, a solar array, and a 100-hectare foothill site at 723.4 m.
