SARAO Visitors Centre, Carnarvon is the South African Radio Astronomy Observatory's named public-facing centre in the Northern Cape town that supports the MeerKAT and Square Kilometre Array visitor programme. SARAO publishes the centre at the corner of Victoria and Hanau Street with a current telephone contact, and its public outreach programme uses the town centre for registration, guided radio-astronomy site visits, talks, interactive exhibits and learner activities. The current 2026 visitor contract is scheduled rather than walk-in: SARAO's July 2026 Public Open Day requires advance registration and indemnity forms, provides return transport from Carnarvon to the remote MeerKAT/SKA site, and states that no site visits are accommodated outside announced open-day dates. SARAO's Carnarvon Astro Guides also book telescope sky-viewing, dark-sky tours and indigenous storytelling from the centre address.
