Sardinia Radio Telescope

Sardinia Radio Telescope is INAF’s 64-metre radio observatory near San Basilio, supporting pulsar timing, spectroscopy, planetary radar, transient astronomy, geodesy and international interferometry. Its periodic public and school programme begins with an indoor explanation at the Visitor Centre and continues, weather permitting, with an outdoor walk close to the working telescope. Guided visits are free, but booking must use the operator’s current form; visitors may not enter the telescope or use it for observations during the public experience.
