Satish Dhawan Space Centre

Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR is ISRO’s primary orbital spaceport at Sriharikota, India, operational since 9 October 1971, supporting PSLV, GSLV, LVM3 and SSLV launches with launch complexes, solid-motor production and testing, tracking and range-safety facilities. Its public-facing Launch View Gallery is a 5,000-seat stadium with sightlines to both launch pads and large screens explaining launches. ISRO’s current visitor directory says the gallery is open to the public on launch days through the official registration portal; this is not a general walk-in museum, and availability, registration and security rules follow each launch.
