Sharjah Academy for Astronomy, Space Sciences, and Technology

Sharjah Academy for Astronomy, Space Sciences, and Technology is a University of Sharjah research and public-outreach campus whose facilities include optical and radio observatories, space-science laboratories, interactive exhibitions, and the Sharjah Planetarium. Opened in 2015 and renamed from its former center identity, the academy also developed and operates Sharjah-Sat-1. Its current visitor programme offers bookable shows for individuals and educational groups in a revamped 200-seat, 18-metre planetarium, combining live presentation with an eight-projector ZEISS system and an optomechanical star projector; public exhibitions and outreach activities extend the experience beyond the dome.
