Sora Kasai Airfield Museum

Sora Kasai Airfield Museum (the Uzuno Museum exhibition at soraかさい) is Kasai City's public aviation-heritage destination at the former Himeji Naval Air Group airfield in Hyogo. Its technology zone presents full-scale models of the Kawanishi Shiden-Kai fighter and Type 97 carrier attack aircraft; the history zone uses four story-film chapters, photographs, plans and original materials to interpret the airfield's construction, wartime operations and people. The surrounding Uzuno Field Museum preserves the runway remains, air-raid shelters and other war sites, with a current Saturday guided electric-vehicle tour. The official museum site publishes 09:00–18:00 access, 200-yen adult admission for the exhibition area and closures on the second and fourth Monday and 29 December–3 January; current 2026 notices confirm special exhibitions and August–September outdoor aircraft displays.
