South African Airways Museum Society at Rand Airport in Germiston preserves South African civil-aviation history through airline artifacts, photographs, technical material, and static aircraft. Its collection includes Boeing 747-200, 747SP and 737-200 aircraft, two Douglas DC-4 Skymasters, a Douglas DC-3 Dakota and a Junkers Ju 52/3m, with an aircraft park, hangar and display hall. The volunteer-run nonprofit welcomes public visitors Tuesday–Sunday, 09:00–15:30 with last entry at 14:30; booking is required for school and larger-group tours. The museum also offers guided aircraft visits and occasional scenic flights from Rand Airport.
