Space Launch Complex 10 (SLC-10), also called Missile Launch Complex 10, is a preserved National Historic Landmark on Vandenberg Space Force Base on California's Central Coast. Built in 1958 for U.S. Thor intermediate-range ballistic-missile testing, the complex includes an intact blockhouse, east and west launch pads, launch shelter, storage systems, and associated launch hardware. It was later adapted for early spaceflight and supported Thor-derived launches through 1980. The site is an inactive historic launch complex rather than a current launch pad; National Park Service material says it is not open to the public, and Vandenberg installation access is controlled. Do not assume walk-in entry; verify any current base or heritage-tour authorization before travel.
