Space Launch Complex 3E

Space Launch Complex 3E (SLC-3E) at Vandenberg Space Force Base is an operational United Launch Alliance launch complex designed for Atlas V and Vulcan Centaur assembly, integration, payload mate, checkout and launch. ULA’s current Vulcan user guide describes the complex’s mobile service tower, umbilical tower and launch service building; Vandenberg’s history identifies SLC-3E as the site of the first U.S. GPS launch and the 2,000th Vandenberg launch, Landsat 9, in 2021.
