Sri Lanka Planetarium is the country's government-operated public astronomy theatre on the University of Colombo campus. Its purpose-built dome presents educational programmes about astronomy, space science, the night sky, and celestial navigation for school and general audiences. The Ministry of Science and Technology confirmed the planetarium's continuing operation in July 2026, while the university's current visitor guide publishes its location and daytime opening hours. The distinctive folded-plate concrete building has served as a durable national astronomy destination since 1965.
