Sutherland Spaceport is a planned vertical launch site at the A’Mhòine peninsula in north Sutherland, intended to support commercial satellite launches from mainland UK. Highlands and Islands Enterprise describes the A’Mhòine peninsula as the planned location of the proposed spaceport. The original Orbex development pathway is no longer a current operating reference: Companies House records Sutherland Spaceport Ltd in compulsory liquidation beginning 18 June 2026, and the UK Space Agency reports that Orbex entered administration in February 2026. The project’s future operator, construction schedule, launch vehicle and launch date therefore remain unresolved; do not represent this site as operational or as offering general visitor access. Visitor reference: A’Mhòine Peninsula, Melness, Sutherland, IV27 4YP, United Kingdom. Check current HIE, UK Government and local-authority notices before relying on project or access information.
