KSAT’s Svalbard Satellite Station (SvalSat) is an operational commercial ground station near Longyearbyen at 78° North. NASA’s current Near Space Network directory lists the Norwegian site with S/X-band support and 11.3 m, 11.3 m and 13 m assets. KSAT describes Svalbard as providing access to every orbit for sun-synchronous spacecraft, satellite-control services and low-latency polar-orbiting data delivery; together with TrollSat in Antarctica it forms a pole-to-pole polar network.
