The Nairobi Planetarium is East Africa's first permanent planetarium, a locally built bamboo dome operated by The Travelling Telescope. Its hour-long public sessions combine fulldome astronomy projections, live constellation tours, and questions with professional astronomers. The current programme spans stellar evolution, black holes, dark matter, planetary defence and ESA's Hera mission, multi-messenger astronomy, astronaut life, the Solar System, and journeys from Earth to the wider universe. Published visitor information offers two scheduled shows each Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, plus tailored school, family, and STEM-group sessions at the permanent Riverside Lane venue.
