TU 142 Aircraft Museum

Visakhapatnam’s TU 142 Aircraft Museum preserves a decommissioned Soviet-built Tupolev Tu-142M that served the Indian Navy for 30 years before becoming a public museum on RK Beach in 2017. Visitors can enter the aircraft and explore a separate exhibition hall with engines, a propeller, survival kit, anti-submarine missile, sonobuoys, data recorder and other maritime-patrol equipment, plus a VR flight simulator. The district administration presents it opposite the INS Kursura Submarine Museum, with bus, auto and cab connections from the city.
