Ulster Aviation Society is a volunteer-run charitable aviation museum at Maze Long Kesh in Lisburn, based in two authentic Second World War hangars. Its heritage collection spans fast jets, helicopters, WWII and propeller aircraft, Shorts and vintage types, vehicles, engines, aviation rooms, flight simulators and VR, preserving Northern Ireland’s aviation story through real hardware and guided interpretation. Public visits require advance booking because the hangars are not always open; the operator publishes seasonal tours and free family visits, with larger groups subject to current arrangements. The hangar floors are wheelchair accessible, with disabled toilets, though some surfaces are uneven. Visitor address: Gate 3, Maze Long Kesh, 94 Halftown Road, Lisburn BT27 5RF, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom.
