Ulyanovsk Civil Aviation Museum

Ulyanovsk Civil Aviation Museum (Head Industry Museum of Civil Aviation History) is a government aviation museum beside Ulyanovsk Central/Baratayevka Airport, founded in 1983 on the Ulyanovsk Institute of Civil Aviation campus. Its nearly 18-hectare open-air collection spans early biplanes, helicopters, passenger and cargo jets, and the Tu-144 that represented the Soviet Union at the 1977 Le Bourget air show; a MiG-25, Yak-42 and other aircraft connect civil and high-performance aviation history. Indoor halls add about 4,000 archival documents, photographs, drawings, models, aircraft components, flight recorders and training equipment.
