U.S. Space & Rocket Center

The U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama, opened in 1970 and is an Alabama state agency-operated Smithsonian Affiliate and the official visitor center for NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center. Its collection of more than 1,500 spaceflight artifacts includes a National Historic Landmark Saturn V, Pathfinder full-stack shuttle display, Apollo 16 Command Module, Skylab Orbital Workshop and Apollo 12 Moon Rock. General admission currently includes Saturn V Hall, Moon Crater, Military Park, Rocket Park, Shuttle Park, Spark!Lab, ISS: Science on Orbit and available featured exhibits. The operator currently lists museum hours 09:00–17:00, closure on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, and admission of $30 for adults 13+, $20 for children 5–12, seniors 65+ and military, with children 4 and under free; free parking and wheelchair/stroller checkout are available. Outdoor simulators depend on temperature and weather, and INTUITIVE® Planetarium shows, featured attractions and Space Camp are separate or schedule-dependent.
