Vietnam People's Air Defense–Air Force Museum

Vietnam People’s Air Defence–Air Force Museum in Hanoi preserves the country’s air-defence and air-force history at the edge of the former Bach Mai Airfield. Founded in 1963 and opened in its current public museum in 2007, its 18,200-square-metre campus combines indoor history/document galleries with a large outdoor collection of aircraft, anti-aircraft artillery, missiles and radar. Large exhibits include wartime MiG aircraft and air-defence systems tied to the defence of Hanoi, while photographs, documents and artefacts extend the institutional story.
