Viktor Hambardzumian House-Museum preserves the Byurakan home and working life of Armenian astronomer and astrophysicist Viktor Hambardzumian, founder and longtime director of the nearby national-value Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory. The house-museum opened in the late 1990s and presents a 3,910-item collection, the scientist’s personal library and unchanged rooms of the home where he lived and worked; the collection is held for public use by his family. The Byurakan Observatory lists the house as a distinct stop in advance-booked visits that can also include its telescopes, planetarium and solar or night observations, so confirm the current programme and access arrangements with the operator. Visitor address: Byurakan 0213, Aragatsotn Province, Armenia.
