War Eagles Air Museum

War Eagles Air Museum in Santa Teresa preserves and interprets aviation and transportation history in a 64,000-square-foot hangar. Its collection includes about 40 historic aircraft from World War II through the Cold War, including a P-51 Mustang, P-40 Warhawk, P-38 Lightning, A-26 Invader and Fieseler Storch, plus nearly 60 vintage and classic automobiles, motorcycles and military and transportation artifacts. Exhibits on Women in Aviation, the Wright Brothers, aircraft trainers, aircraft recognition, engines, Vietnam-era medical evacuation and the Eighth Air Force connect the machines to the people and conflicts they served; education programs, guided tours and group visits are available by arrangement.
