Western Australia Space Centre

Western Australia Space Centre (WASC), also called West Australian Space Centre and Yatharagga Satellite Station, is SSC Space Australia’s operational commercial ground station in Western Australia’s Mingenew-Nangetty area. It has multiple full-motion antennas from 7.3 to 13.5 metres, plus 4-metre S- and X-band antennas, and supports telemetry, tracking and command and data reception for satellites, launchers and lunar missions across S-, X- and Ku-band. SSC lists geostationary orbit-raising and first acquisition, lunar support, launch-and-early-orbit operations and daily LEO passes; paired with SSC’s Punta Arenas station, it can provide coverage for polar-orbiting satellites. This is controlled operator infrastructure rather than a public visitor destination: SSC publishes no routine walk-in programme, so arrange access with SSC and verify current local and site permissions before field planning. The coordinates are an operational site reference; the operator publishes rounded values rather than antenna-level survey precision.
