Western Museum of Flight

Western Museum of Flight at Torrance Airport is a nonprofit aviation museum and educational institution operated by the Southern California Historical Aviation Foundation, dedicated to preserving Southern California’s aerospace legacy. Its public collection includes unique and prototype aircraft, target drones, piston and jet aircraft engines, aircraft components, World War II instruments, aircrew accessories, extensive model aircraft and restoration projects. Public programs include school and private group tours, the Kids Aerospace Discovery Zone, Kids Love Aviation Science and aerospace lectures that connect the collection to the region’s engineering history. Visitor hours are Friday through Monday, 10:00–15:00. General admission is 10 US dollars; members enter free and children under 12 enter free. The museum is closed on New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, January 2, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
