Woomera Heritage and Visitor Information Centre

Woomera Heritage and Visitor Information Centre is the public gateway to the Woomera Interactive Rocket Range Museum in South Australia's Woomera village. Its durable aerospace displays cover the Woomera Range, the closed Joint Defence Facility at Nurrungar, rocket parts, range activities and trials including HyShot and NEXST-1, with a film tracing Woomera's history. The South Australian History Network currently lists daily public hours of 09:00–17:00. Woomera Village is accessible without a permit on authorised routes, but other Woomera Prohibited Area roads and tracks require a Defence tourist permit and access may be restricted during testing; check current Defence notices before travelling beyond the village.
