Outcome
Saturn IB placed LM-1 and its S-IVB stage into orbit. Although flight software ended the first descent-engine firing early, controllers executed an alternate sequence that demonstrated throttling, ascent-stage separation, and ascent-engine operation; NASA assessed the lunar-module test as a complete success.
