The Arctic Weather Satellite prototype uses a 19-channel cross-track scanning microwave radiometer to provide high-resolution atmospheric humidity and temperature profiles in all weather, improving very-short-term weather forecasts and nowcasts in the Arctic and worldwide and demonstrating the path to the EPS-Sterna constellation.
