Artemis I

Artemis I was a successful uncrewed flight test that marked the first integrated mission of NASA's Orion spacecraft and Space Launch System rocket. The spacecraft traveled thousands of miles beyond the Moon, spending 25 days in space to validate deep-space systems before crewed flights. Its successful splashdown in the Pacific Ocean paved the way for the Artemis campaign's human return to the lunar vicinity.
