ATV-4 Albert Einstein

The fourth ATV mission launched on 5 June 2013 and docked with the International Space Station on 15 June. Albert Einstein carried 2,480 kilograms of dry cargo comprising roughly 1,400 items, including equipment for the European Columbus laboratory, Japan’s Kibo module, and NASA’s water-recycling system. The spacecraft also performed six station reboosts. After undocking on 28 October, controllers positioned it beneath the station for a reentry geometry intended to support crew observations. Its controlled atmospheric destruction on 2 November 2013 completed the resupply and waste-disposal mission.
