The fifth and final ATV mission launched on 29 July 2014 and docked automatically with the aft port of the International Space Station’s Zvezda module on 12 August. Georges Lemaître carried 6,602 kilograms of freight, including 2,680 kilograms of dry cargo and scientific equipment such as an electromagnetic levitator. Relative GPS supported the approach before laser sensors guided the final 250 metres. Following months of station logistics and orbit support, the vehicle undocked on 14 February 2015 and reentered the atmosphere the next day, concluding both its flight and the ATV programme.
