Expedition 14 was a long-duration International Space Station increment commanded by Michael Lopez-Alegria with Mikhail Tyurin as flight engineer and Soyuz commander. Thomas Reiter transferred from Expedition 13 at the start of the increment; STS-116 later exchanged Reiter for Sunita Williams. The crew supported station assembly, science, logistics, and five resident EVAs. Lopez-Alegria and Tyurin returned on Soyuz TMA-9 with Charles Simonyi, while Williams transferred to Expedition 15.
