Expedition 34 was a 2012-2013 International Space Station resident increment commanded by NASA astronaut Kevin Ford. The increment began when Soyuz TMA-05M undocked in November 2012, leaving Ford, Oleg Novitsky, and Yevgeni Tarelkin aboard from the Soyuz TMA-06M crew. Soyuz TMA-07M arrived in December with Roman Romanenko, Chris Hadfield, and Thomas Marshburn, restoring six-person station operations. The crew supported station research, maintenance, robotics, visiting vehicles, and external systems work through the winter of 2012-2013. Spacefacts notes Dragon CRS-2 / SpaceX CRS-2 activity during the increment, along with Progress cargo operations and the transition toward the next command handover. Expedition 34 ended when Ford, Novitsky, and Tarelkin returned to Earth on Soyuz TMA-06M, leaving Romanenko, Hadfield, and Marshburn aboard for Expedition 35.
