Expedition 46

Expedition 46 was a 2015-2016 International Space Station increment commanded by NASA astronaut Scott Kelly during the final months of the Kelly-Kornienko one-year mission. The resident crew expanded when Soyuz TMA-19M brought Yuri Malenchenko, Tim Kopra, and Tim Peake to the station in December 2015. During the increment, the crew supported human research, biology, physical science, cargo operations, robotics, and station maintenance, including three spacewalks by U.S. and Russian teams. The mission also prepared the station for future commercial crew infrastructure and continued public outreach around long-duration spaceflight.
