Expedition 73 was an International Space Station increment that began on April 19, 2025, after Soyuz MS-26 undocked and Expedition 72 ended. The increment opened with the Crew-10 and Soyuz MS-27 residents aboard the station, then expanded through Crew-11's August arrival and the Soyuz MS-28 crew's November arrival. Sergey Ryzhikov commanded the station for most of the increment, with command later transitioning to Mike Fincke near the end of the handover into Expedition 74. Expedition 73 supported station research, maintenance, visiting vehicles, Axiom Mission 4 operations, and multiple crew rotations across NASA, Roscosmos, and JAXA. The increment included one U.S. EVA by Anne McClain and Nichole Ayers on May 1, 2025, and two Russian-segment EVAs by Ryzhikov and Alexey Zubritsky in October. Expedition 73 concluded on December 9, 2025, when Soyuz MS-27 undocked and landed with Ryzhikov, Zubritsky, and Jonny Kim.
